What is an oil gelling agent? 

An oil-phase gelling agent is a structuring ingredient capable of transforming a liquid oil into a firmer, more stable and more pleasant texture. Unlike hydrophilic thickeners, these gelling agents work exclusively in the oil phase, without requiring water. They are essential for stabilising formulas rich in vegetable oils, esters, or silicones, while delivering a melting, non-greasy texture.

RHEOPEARL™ is a naturally derived gelling agent for cosmetic oils, obtained through the esterification of a fatty acid and dextrin derivatives.
